DISCUSSION ON “INTERNATIONAL TRENDS IN DIGITAL LAW” HELD

The Mongolian Bar Association, the German Center for European Legal Studies, and the Parliamentary Training, Research, and Development Institute of the State Great Khural jointly organized a discussion on the topic “International Trends in Digital Law” on January 31, 2025.

Chief Judge G. Davaadorj presented on the topic “The Legal Environment and Challenges of Mongolia’s Digital Transition.” In addition, Dr. Professor Lumingü Manzanza from the University of Kikwit and the Catholic University of Congo (Democratic Republic of the Congo); Prof. Dr. Eric Hilgendorf, Head of the Department of Criminal Law, Legal Theory, and Information Law at the University of Würzburg (Germany); Dr. Severin Loeffler, attorney and partner at the German law firm “Rechts- und Fachanwälte”; and Johannes Hartlein, Research Assistant at the University of Würzburg, gave engaging presentations on topics including “Challenges in Digitalizing the Judiciary,” “Corruption – A Challenge to the Rule of Law,” “Digitalization and Legal Defense,” and “The New EU Artificial Intelligence Act.” They also responded to questions from the audience of legal professionals.
