STUDENTS OF THE SCHOOL OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY OF SHUTIS PARTICIPATED IN THE “OPEN COURT” DAY

     In order to enhance transparency and openness in the judiciary and to gather public opinions on court operations, the “Open Court” event was organized on December 12, 2024.

   Students from the School of Information and Communication Technology of the Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST) took part in the event.

     They became acquainted with the unique aspects of court operations and the judicial environment. The event was led by Chief Judge G. Davaadorj.

     The involvement of information technology specialists and IT engineers is essential for ensuring the continuity, stability, and reliability of digital transformation in the judiciary. Without their participation, the advancement of court digitalization would not be possible. Therefore, this year’s event specifically included students from the School of Information and Communication Technology.

     During the event, students had the opportunity to visit judges' offices, courtrooms, observe court proceedings, and learn about the structure and functioning of the judicial system. They asked specific questions and shared suggestions regarding court system improvements and software development.

     In addition to expressing their appreciation for the information they received about court services, some students even shared their newfound interest in pursuing legal studies and becoming judges in the future.

     The participants emphasized that the contribution of IT professionals is crucial in increasing public trust in the judiciary and enhancing its transparency. Furthermore, they expressed interest in participating again in next year’s “Open Court” event. Discussions were also initiated about organizing a Hackathon aimed at identifying new opportunities and improving the court’s software and systems, specifically among students studying information technology.
